If not, then could someone tell me how to make a 64-bit STREAMS driver that can interract with 32-bit applications, and/or direct me to the appropriate documentation? It works fine, but the drivers in 64 bit land need to go through some extra hoops. Casper -- Expressed in this posting are my opinions.

Should I use 64 bit Windows XP?
No, you cannot load a 32 bits driver in a 64 bit OS. If you have 32 bit Sun drivers and not the 64 bit driver, you may have forgotten to install certain packages. Would it be possible to write a "wrapper" which translates adresses and device accesses from 64-bit kernel from/to the 32-bit kernel module ?

No, signed drivers are required period. As an example, a recent game, 1701 AD, uses a copy-protection driver. Sunflowers provides both 32bit and 64bit copy-protectin drivers but they are not signed drivers (they didn't write the copy-protection drivers themselves). The 64bit driver will install on XP Pro x64 but

Actually, while you will presumably need 64-bit drivers (I can imagine the ability to run 32-bit drivers in the 64-bit OS, but can also imagine major hurdles on the way to reaching that goal) No, You canīt use 32Bit drivers. Thatīs indeed the biggest problem because there isnīt much hardware with 64Bit drivers.
